Local Incentives

The local governing body where your business is located must grant tax abatements — and all the communities within the three counties of the Southern Indiana Defense Industry Network have all demonstrated a willingness to help companies grow through the use of tax abatement. Tax abatements are available for both manufacturing equipment (5 or 10 years) and for improvements to real estate (3, 6, or 10 years.)

Air, Rail and Water
You can reach your markets by using our excellent air, rail and water connections.
We are just minutes away from United Parcel Service’s (UPS) major hub located at the Louisville International Airport where you can deliver to UPS by midnight and have next day delivery in a majority of the metropolitan areas of the country.

Then just up the road (I-65), Federal Express (FedEx) has a major hub at the Indianapolis International Airport, or just to the east, DHL Airways, Inc. has a domestic hub at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Both hubs will also provide you with next day delivery.

Three rail carriers, CSXNorfolk Southern and Louisville & Indiana Railroad Company as well as several short lines provide rail service to many of our industrial sites. In addition, the Clark Maritime Center, located on the Ohio River, offers full port facilities connecting you to anywhere in the world via the Inland Waterway System.
